心宝 | Heart Treasure

4 u9 S  w5 ~0 Q" y6 z1 d/ N宁玛巴的很多成就者们留与后代的世间财产,虽然不能与所谓的富翁同日而语,但他们以( z. F0 n3 p: ?0 U

" L1 H0 [; H5 c# ?8 S* j6 I' q( D智悲精华凝聚而成的智慧宝库,却丰富多彩、琳琅满目,令世间富翁们望尘莫及。只要有$ l! Z6 n9 k: _1 O

: o9 y. R8 \9 N4 J/ p; r/ T, W信心的钥匙,在此宝库中都能找到令自己欣喜若狂的珍宝。

6 z' U% _$ p6 i7 L' P: zNyingmapa masters have not left much worldly inheritances to their successors when compared
9 J4 U8 P2 w: D+ B/ |/ j+ l( |0 C) C1 l) W; ^
with those wealthy tycoons. But the masters have far surpassed the worldly riches in leaving) ~9 _# H% ^3 g& k7 O4 @/ W# g% H
1 T. P( E- q  G6 E: {! r
their followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated
. B  M; T7 o. {# H7 W" j6 c, {2 j' p# T7 W7 T/ ?: G
wisdom and compassion. Anyone equipped with the key of faith will discover in the vault gems
5 p% f$ t: f: q1 Z0 d$ k) W7 B; p* M
that bring boundless joy.
* F* J" U1 N* M4 D: _# o( V' N6 ?. Y
今天,我到喇拉曲智仁波切的宝库里逛了逛。里面的宝物不可胜数,让贪婪的我一阵阵狂9 F; ?/ s/ U) r6 A' u9 [* {8 b

4 Y4 B0 q) a7 d喜。但因力气有限,难以全部背负而出。只有选择一段认识心性的教言,忍不住想翻译过- N* [/ C- t' `2 s% l3 I
+ D; u" R1 B; a7 U9 }
来,分享与人。希望没灌大圆满顶的道友不要偷看,否则护法会惩罚的。

Today, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.3 m! S2 p8 N, [( y- v/ d  f- G
: g3 ]. [! m) M6 n2 q% P! ~; ~
Innumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more
7 r: y0 |" L7 Y( E, c" P8 [# f) ?% ^( \; m: W5 l
Dharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the3 h6 o! g" [. R" _" @( W

3 ~6 s5 X. n  g5 V# i) ntreasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of9 P, t6 e9 _$ f  f% R3 ^
8 [1 c8 Q5 @5 o3 P
the mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the
: T# T0 L6 N0 V, t& ]# a% p! N
2 X- m4 u, B8 E, W  ~- Itransmission on Great Perfection should refrain from reading it. Otherwise, a reprimand from the+ y9 a% d1 R% [
4 v+ m* c. r, Z; M  A' I/ R% Q: G
Dharma Protectors is sure to come./ a2 j9 ]+ O. m& f5 S7 t
3 I$ S7 Q- ^" |+ @3 q- z. E
“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之
2 D3 Z+ j2 }6 c4 _* N  y2 a( f
6 Q/ z) l4 x0 v4 _2 ]6 S0 [% F心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆! G/ ?; z: }! b# t& k7 \( V
( x( C8 C' k) g  M$ V( q! m
为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与
+ ^5 b" y" z& S4 R" J6 J/ F8 {& s) f
显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细
4 Q. e* `: n' G9 j+ w! H& g" @- ?1 A/ d# B% ^: u* V: t+ `
微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。, u: C3 M6 u! X9 \5 C; L

; I% c* K) a' O' p% P3 K" `此外,以修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法为助缘。我宁玛老人索朗钦则(喇, Z6 ^- k$ M6 Y2 Y7 a5 k* K
2 G1 \2 C2 P  J# E/ I) w9 N
拉曲智仁波切的名字)平时所修持的唯有这些。愿其成为有缘者之心宝。”

3 m6 q/ y* a4 e/ |“Briefly, the heart treasure of direct pointing out is as follows: All phenomena appear because of+ W, N" k$ U+ e0 z& u+ d9 V9 o+ Q

0 X) C0 d; N; N# sthe mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking
$ |; j5 Z3 \8 g' r) `. w" u9 y% l- X8 q- {0 Y; i8 T! j1 N- H
for one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since0 `6 X$ ^1 r. B9 V3 V
. _8 A. B/ C6 v4 ]0 \+ q2 z& ~
beginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the
7 M+ g5 }, E8 j; ]- q  E2 i8 W4 w; H8 u0 W* G0 P  j
‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the+ [& P0 n, X7 E' j
  R; F* h. P# o. M$ A
view of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness0 f! M) @  P4 L4 l

4 x! \# Z0 o1 g" X% Q6 D+ K: xand the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of
/ A% G& y4 m  y" r8 [+ \$ X4 ?. ~) p* C- O' L! v+ [3 q7 A; C7 A
Great Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle
" Z1 l5 h0 X& R) H9 ?0 L& v7 ]  Q$ i0 ?
discursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and& @7 \2 Q; v4 A# Q* g' \) W

2 r: u4 K+ [2 i  Omindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,
/ @  J( [* v- ^2 n  u. o3 N" P
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta,/ m" ?' a- \8 f. B. j* y- O
9 k4 F9 s0 k3 Y: ?7 ]; R' Z) ^
practicing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning; M0 F7 [$ {) `6 ^4 o

! k2 S" W1 y8 @6 E0 Y" z1 Cevils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices
9 P5 o7 u! g/ C. W0 ~8 W7 V2 n0 M; T/ V9 Q
besides these. May beings with fortunate karma also come to know this heart treasure!”

* o* q+ R. [. x9 o如今,我们得到了如此珍贵的心宝,实在应当珍惜。

. k* p4 I1 F4 l# {! G8 o: H4 S/ _. s; d3 s; J
At this moment, we’ve received such a precious heart treasure, shouldn’t we cherish it dearly?
$ w4 v; ?7 ~' v, T+ j6 P  n: }$ w( }3 D3 `; k( {% R% ^
也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法# V( m1 @: W+ {; N# X

9 y( ^% u. ]# Q) c# D6 b,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?

* Z5 v- Z! O! E  i) `
Of course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great% W; d" }% |8 ~6 @: q' o( @

8 ~# Z' X4 {( R( @Perfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly, d. w% y* i6 X1 o% j* i; {+ h

. _9 p6 O9 P! N: K. d5 @5 I  xvirtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do
7 N, {8 P, B- x  U) S0 ]
+ R8 D: ], j3 E; pthey really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?; X3 H$ b# B- B2 t
+ i! r! T. e2 ^! O
前辈大德们交付予后学者的教言心宝,已经毫无保留地呈现在我们面前,只有逐字逐句地1 x+ b, \# T4 d' }1 V5 M
3 s" m# @8 c& M/ B6 A/ V" A
思维,并融入自己的相续,认识心的本性,并长期修持,才能无愧于上师三宝的大恩加被

The heart treasures left by our past masters have now been fully revealed to us without any' f' s$ @& _6 Y, _8 t; C

! z, E' d3 k/ V) Mreservation. We should reflect upon them deeply, word by word, to permeate our mind with' n" q2 t. K+ V: }. g( I

* @6 J, \# E# @them, recognize the nature of the mind, and continue the practice for a long period of time. Only2 |" c9 c6 n2 k1 A6 F0 L; s8 [
5 B" C" C; l3 ]& g+ [
by so doing can we prove ourselves worthy of the kind blessings from our masters and the Three0 J5 z: T- e; i8 Y! `
