散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也
" {( H0 C1 O! x0 V' j不妨说出来与道友分享。5 `* d; ]1 v3 s2 W- s
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
: I6 E7 x. G+ ]me from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
) U* j& P0 Z0 k6 V4 s  Y那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转
- L9 N  U: }  g' O$ k绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于
; ^% {1 y! P8 _9 ~+ z: Q, Y浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心; |& t+ J$ P9 K" X, I) s$ P
情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。
- c- ^& G: O8 O0 P2 G9 k) mThis golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is' ~/ x  h1 n; L" y- _5 e
absolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting; u% {0 n3 F1 T. F1 n3 i  t1 T+ G: t
setting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is
1 i! j7 O1 ]& z& ntime for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste0 f+ W0 J. U5 V
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our5 I1 R8 k: W* ?  {! _- S/ a
precious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in' T/ V( e4 Z0 k- E
accordance to the Dharma.- b6 {# h% `2 b+ X. a4 {* m
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却# ~% s' ]4 a6 C
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自" j4 j: U' e* T& N2 a, ]
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中
% e3 ]1 c! e9 g' H; o已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”
* j  \& x- J) AA good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may  W+ D9 D1 l; `
seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,
2 T8 _& N; Z! N$ z1 L8 S4 {8 @reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far" Y' f% ]1 v' l: H4 @& s$ U1 n, ?2 k
better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this; o" w7 q' g/ `* [: e% U
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:
. {# g8 t- w! O4 TA wise man is like a fine steed:
* T. ]9 O) r! Y) G* jBeing ever mindful even when relaxing,
4 P0 v" E2 ^& q4 K7 e3 [. ^0 bBeing wakeful while appearing to sleep." X" l) k2 ]# `9 k+ \, }; ^
Far superior to common folks he is.
# o' T- L5 r  ]/ u) P% b+ ^晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”
  ?# V- P5 m3 Y& dThe scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:
0 _, ]) }; J- @  n" H2 i; @$ @4 PIn people’s haunt I build my cot;
) z' E, D& D5 u' I- O% j5 `Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.
/ q* [' ]* ]! q5 F) S( W, X( x2 FHow can it leave on me no trace?* l6 A0 n" }7 F+ X3 A
Secluded heart makes secluded place.' k- F5 N+ B  e7 K2 O: O' I
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自
7 a3 g( ~2 p0 m: u6 Q; v8 T9 ~然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然2 o: t/ o' ~; F5 c
不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。1 Z0 `1 I  `% ?1 E$ `! l/ d
Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or. L, x& D- B5 F, u7 [+ p
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down
" ?8 N( ~9 }; D  m- Qwhen the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A% a2 x, |, [! T' w
peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds
8 n" v2 M* J; E% lremain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind
; f5 q& x0 W: Y. [5 z% Rnaturally transports us to a secluded place.
