、树林、花园,镀上了一层银白。真是“千江有水千江月,万里无云万里天。”
( j y' X1 d3 |4 T; H/ ?6 cThe last twilight in the western sky vanished with the setting sun. With silence all around, I0 B& E% P( e7 v% F- q) K
waited for the evening curtain to roll out so that I could enjoy by myself a peaceful night in1 T$ e8 G0 W; ?3 X' n S
spring. This, it turned out, was just my wishful thinking. Suspended in the high void was a bright2 m/ I+ V4 C& x
full moon that sprinkled a fine layer of silver dust over houses, trees, and the garden. It was
& `7 S" q2 d+ Y+ G( H0 B9 b3 Hexactly as described in the poem:* @. t1 a1 H/ J' i$ l! f
So long as there is water in the rivers,- E( q; ]) o' G! @ j& E! N
Even if there are thousands of them,& y( z5 e) ~8 D! o( L& i
The moon will be reflected in each.4 C k1 f# v; i/ }0 F, w- q6 a
So long as the sky is unobstructed by clouds,
/ w) N+ G3 K; A% GNo matter how many thousands of miles it spans,' E/ Q2 [- W7 q8 h6 Y
It is all clear sky.
: a; E5 B5 V4 `( f, E池塘中、脸盆里、甚至下雨积下的水坑中,都无一例外地盛着那圆圆的、光亮的脸,仿佛
0 s" z7 w# z$ m1 P1 u捞之可得。难怪世人有“猴子捞月”的传说了。
8 m' `+ H! A) LIn the pond, washbasin, or even puddles from the rain, there appeared this round bright face, as/ A* b% V, V& Y1 z$ y/ o9 G6 b
if screaming to be picked up. No wonder the folklore of “Moon-Capturing by the Monkeys” came( ^. D* ^7 u3 z; X1 S
into existence.
2 N& |4 x7 P% J- G( t5 P/ ~2 s的确,无论地上有多少水器,只要水面平静,水质清净,皆能显现皎洁月影。同样,无论
, Y) ]9 Z) J1 A+ }' o3 C) K4 g多少人,若能以净心观想佛陀,佛也会立即来至彼前,为其加持,排其苦恼,令其安乐。
, A( r8 L7 [& o, L0 H& T3 V2 zIndeed, regardless of how many water containers there are on the ground, all will reflect the
; ]* {9 `" ^+ zsame beautiful moon as long as the water surfaces are clean and calm. Similarly, regardless of9 r; Z0 x V5 q
how many people there are on earth, as long as they visualize the Buddha with a pure mind, the6 ~1 T9 L: k' Q, l @8 ^& R) n0 m
Buddha will appear in front of them to bestow blessing, dispel suffering, and bring happiness.
# g$ V0 a, Q( q; d! X1 s4 R《宝积经》云:“何人作意佛,能仁住彼前,恒时赐加持,解脱一切罪。”可见如此做法有" c8 z6 n; ~ X
很大功德。《三摩地王经》曰:“散步安住站立卧,何人忆念能仁尊,本师恒时住彼前,彼! [8 {2 g& _2 Z6 X l2 x
者将获广大果。”也许有人会疑惑,为何佛陀会在转瞬之间来至我们面前呢?其原因是因为, y8 C' Q2 L% U& {* T* a N) h8 e
自己的心无丝毫垢染,加上智悲尊者的大悲力显现而致。《大圆满心性休息》云:“观想彼
7 e( Y# f" `/ n! F$ w( J/ D+ J临极应理,此为自心清净力,智悲尊主大悲力,佛说如意成所愿。”& X! E* v# C! Q1 _
The Jewel Heap Sutra (Ratnakuṭa Sutra) says: “Should anyone think of the Buddha with faith, the. ~# v- y- {1 X- S8 a* c
Buddha is there, right in front of them, constantly granting his blessings and freedom from all8 |, e. {- S: d
harm.” Hence to think of the Buddha is very meritorious. The King of Concentration Sutra also5 z+ o9 R# q) W; }4 T Z
says: “Whoever recollects the Buddha while walking, standing, sitting, or sleeping will always be( t& b7 c$ G! A3 {
in Buddha’s presence, and will attain vast accomplishment.” People may wonder: How could the
, o4 h' k) p6 r0 v4 fBuddha come to us the moment we think about him? Such manifestation is made possible by our) s' D9 ^' M( s' E
minds being absolutely pure and by the power of Buddha’s great compassion. A Treatise on/ f( b3 ^9 g: K9 o
Finding Comfort and Ease in the Nature of Mind says: “Due to the power of our innate purity and$ X" w1 F$ [3 U- I5 i
the power of Buddha’s great compassion, the Buddha will approach us and grant whatever is
8 {6 J5 m, J5 d0 I0 B% Xdesired just as we visualize him.”

$ ]% g" J, i! |4 ^- x刚语,这样对我们消除魔障、获得信心、增加智慧,均有无边利益。当然,如果信心的器 C% k- J: G6 J* z+ g- ]0 b
皿倒扣,则永远也不会显现佛光月影。- E2 y% Z% j, |" z i
As Buddhists, if we let a day go by without thinking of at least once of Buddha Shakyamuni, we7 \1 @1 z2 A* N9 x7 {
should feel ashamed. We should constantly reflect on the adamantine words of the scriptures,6 H# S0 g4 V5 n$ G, S. {
which will bring us vast benefit in dispelling obstacles, establishing faith, and enhancing wisdom.3 K9 }0 A; g8 u( M, f
On the other hand, if the vessels of our faith were turned upside down, then neither the moon
9 S1 i' n. ~+ p. Vreflection nor any form of the Buddha would ever appear to us.
