最妙 | Best Strategy
人生天地之间,若白驹过隙。若不好好把握,空耗暇满,实在可惜。时刻珍惜前辈大德留* t8 b% B  h7 [6 y9 W
下的珍贵遗产,将之融入心相续,检点自己的行为,增上自己的见解,始为佛子之正道。
' c0 v- V3 y# {0 BLiving between Heaven and Earth, the time we have as humans flashes by as swiftly as “a white" M# v3 Z/ P' x/ F* n7 p" S
steed flits past a crack.” It would be a shame to waste our human life with its freedoms and7 `  s% M% y. V7 P# u8 t% G
endowments and to squander away our opportunities. As Buddha’s heirs, we must walk on the! M$ I1 d- `" }+ i
Dharma path unerringly, that is, to cherish the rich legacies of lineage masters and suffuse our
" }! P9 t* N# M/ r! `$ Q. P, Ominds with them, to be careful about our conduct and establish right views.
" U4 W5 R+ f- }3 D' @无著菩萨谆谆教诲弟子:“使心调柔与法相融是最好的积资;忆念死亡不定是最好的智慧
  C1 g7 G! J7 U4 U;断恶行善是最好的才智;顶戴众生是最好的地位;知足少欲是最好的富裕;心无贪执是
4 c, Z6 U& T. t( v6 r$ X最好的快乐。”1 }; \* m( S( X! ]9 \: b1 D
The Venerable Thogme Zangpo taught his disciples earnestly:
4 c. y  Z& }, }' {; tThe best way to accumulate merit is to tame the mind until it becomes one with the Dharma.# ~/ \- Z0 i2 X' Y. p/ v; b- l
The highest wisdom is to be aware of the uncertainty of the time of death. The sharpest wit is to0 m& g4 j. v: S9 A
know how to eliminate non-virtues and adopt virtues. The best rank is to have sentient beings+ V1 o8 x& n2 D1 i# e  U7 i: E+ k' |
honored above our heads. The superb wealth is to be content with few desires. The greatest' _& ^$ u; L. V' Y/ n
happiness is to be free from covetousness.$ |% K2 J3 x2 N) o  ?1 R1 |
臧巴加惹也告诫后人:“舍弃今生必须具备十一种誓言:不随顺他人而独处;背井离乡、( Y- Q) `/ N7 Q5 y1 O  @
抛舍故土;厌弃一切妙欲;恒处卑位;不护他人情面;恒时纠察以行对治;不在意他人说/ I2 ]% A9 |0 U$ p6 D" N  K
三道四,而认为一切理当如此;即使珍爱之物被风吹散,也不生丝毫痛苦;犹如乞丐死亡
/ \0 @; ~: }/ _6 p8 T: E一般舍弃今生的苦痛;猛厉不断地念叨‘一切都不需要!’;自己掌握自己的牵鼻绳。如: y9 q9 S! e/ @
此这样,美妙的修行功德就会如云般聚集。”) r4 H% J" k8 j# M4 v
Zhanpa Gaylol also admonished future generations:
4 V& R% t$ E" z7 YTo truly renounce this life one should uphold these eleven vows: to live alone in seclusion1 d& ~$ G, ]" D- t& `- q
without conforming to others; to give up home and set forth to a place away from one’s native$ `$ s4 Z, f. ^9 j/ m
land; to relinquish all sensual pleasures; to assume a humble position always; to spare not* e7 {, a: x9 W
others’ feelings; to be vigilant and apply antidotes constantly; to be unaffected by others’) _8 ?& Y+ l$ m% I- a
irresponsible remarks, or to think they have some points; to feel no pain at all even having lost
; F& j6 F3 ^2 K0 ione’s most cherished possession; to let go of the suffering of this life as when a beggar dies, to! `3 N8 D, l6 l7 N
always repeat the following ardently: ‘None of these is necessary!’; and to steer one’s own
0 d% D6 O+ B% q$ Z* s6 b6 f: Rcourse of life. If these vows are kept, one will gather excellent spiritual qualities as immense as
: Q$ O; }0 V* Y. T0 |cloudbanks.9 Q  R) C9 M9 m) X# `4 Y$ s5 X
我们应将这11个准则牢记于心。否则,即使再有智慧,也成为佛教油子之因。
$ E2 X7 \8 y# S; T# p: wLet us keep these eleven points firmly in our minds. Otherwise, whatever amount of knowledge
3 g) T# H5 {% f4 Z) X  z1 {, d* _we have will only render us impervious to the Dharma.. m; |- C. b. b' J" A0 C5 I1 t3 b
