散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也
* B' Z$ H4 M6 G+ ?9 K( ~不妨说出来与道友分享。9 y! }. m3 Q$ f! ?/ E6 J
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
  o$ r. y- I  ^1 d4 l: n5 Kme from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.+ E' b$ E4 G8 s9 j
那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转
0 x' D- {% p8 {; L- Q绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于4 P5 H- K( E. w, t2 o; g
浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心" z  }. V5 @( I* N2 q
情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。* P: ~+ W% z* ?/ I" W3 h$ v4 F! o
This golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is& i5 ?5 q& w' q# F8 X
absolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting4 }# S! i9 d# \% M6 P, g; V
setting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is
" i$ }) `5 R7 ?time for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste
# ?9 g- `  n. y# E/ wtime muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our
3 [5 X9 Q& l' S+ Uprecious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in
: p- Y9 t: _) z, w# ?0 [- N0 kaccordance to the Dharma.3 ?7 I- E7 F4 ~, w9 k* R9 a# Y. S
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却7 V: \3 Z5 `# s1 i' q8 _: c+ Y
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自
  L  e6 ^7 R/ z己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中
/ G9 {! z! F8 A# n$ I/ L已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”. P! v4 ~3 ]& P" N2 Q
A good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may
2 x0 ?" I! [3 L: v3 V* j9 N1 h9 _seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,4 H/ }2 L  Q. U. H5 f
reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far3 t. P; n9 G1 A
better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this
( |# |( O* E5 l- e) f( P; @saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:
0 F2 t" a/ h8 Z* P. F$ IA wise man is like a fine steed:% |$ K' c- c7 {* T5 ?2 F" t
Being ever mindful even when relaxing,
" A& Y. I" x: f; vBeing wakeful while appearing to sleep.: a. S, k( j6 ]
Far superior to common folks he is.- t$ f/ U* o1 m' m0 e5 V
晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”
8 j  E1 p3 u0 Y& e* n( @The scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:
) G! z2 m% d$ b+ t4 X, zIn people’s haunt I build my cot;9 }1 M7 Z7 ]6 V5 P
Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.
/ i$ w0 T8 F! _+ Y7 i+ `+ F5 HHow can it leave on me no trace?
$ D" u1 `0 |/ bSecluded heart makes secluded place.9 A  t+ p3 u0 H
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自* V) @/ V% [% f5 p: I' U9 ^, M
然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然7 D( A2 x9 ^. d2 l1 X0 u
不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。
, S  ?* J/ C7 m& s7 YEven if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or! [3 ]9 h' T. j, F4 P
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down
6 C8 ~8 D) ~9 h  k% k# B& iwhen the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A$ l- Z, ?: n) g' s+ V
peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds
" N# y, q+ k) r+ f- _! J# j! V2 cremain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind
$ x9 Z- L# ~1 a% inaturally transports us to a secluded place.6 }1 x: C) u& E% R: V$ d
