散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也
" d0 f1 u& O8 {; h4 ~3 G不妨说出来与道友分享。
0 D# d  W2 z  lThere is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
" z2 B( X7 T' D% F# Z8 w7 I  Ame from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
$ ~) I# d5 P8 F1 |" \& J; H, Q0 B那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转
+ E2 u3 K$ ~" ]. z8 _5 b; K绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于
5 v# \2 G$ @5 L( Z8 ?9 X- a' W% x6 B浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心7 G. v3 U' w/ P3 d9 S
情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。9 j6 k4 H# z8 f. R6 N& e
This golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is  q* T* s& ?! {! R) J
absolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting
- p; w6 A' ]0 [1 K4 psetting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is3 A3 ^4 ~# M7 ~( e3 ^" x: R
time for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste7 K* {; M6 H) R: B. Z0 x
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our
6 U1 h, s/ N4 b0 eprecious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in
0 d. k$ j" \' _0 P; E; `2 q$ l/ c* `accordance to the Dharma.# S8 _* I- R2 k( V1 S7 m' `
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却
& O# s$ T! n8 _: N' V- Y- Y4 ?躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自% Z: Q# Y/ h. T. X! Q0 G3 Y1 |
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中, W) a+ N  @/ I$ J. Q' p1 `
已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”8 C* R/ `: l$ o3 y6 ~1 m# h
A good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may
# e+ o( W' I* |9 yseem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,! x+ z% `* \" f2 d
reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far
( ^' Y$ C7 d9 O$ {better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this
8 |/ X/ r! u/ x2 P* Isaying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:4 p$ y! ^/ }1 |: e6 J- D7 V* X* j
A wise man is like a fine steed:
( D1 ^/ b% q* {4 d4 TBeing ever mindful even when relaxing,  W# \! ~6 X, b8 e
Being wakeful while appearing to sleep.
! n. ]; e. O# n" U) ^# i- lFar superior to common folks he is.
7 [. k/ v  a" }  T晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”( n, {- Y' b# s9 Y. x& ]' w
The scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:2 S4 @2 P  A% q& G; \
In people’s haunt I build my cot;& E; H9 K' `3 G/ {
Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.( d; n. T; P! o
How can it leave on me no trace?6 t6 Q- C9 w6 A$ `
Secluded heart makes secluded place., O; {) c4 r* [  A
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自% ~( N4 [+ T5 f, T5 m3 ]0 M
然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然
' D( z7 H2 R8 N- G不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。! w4 d- P' P/ c6 M- G' w
Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or
1 c4 Z, o4 a" E3 ncarriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down
1 P- m1 A$ N! Owhen the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A' m; x% |" v7 e! p0 i8 H$ H
peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds
& ^/ b( \9 L' i' T" d" l% U3 Iremain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind0 X+ t; R1 ?' J# k# J/ ]( @
naturally transports us to a secluded place.
