散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也. b) e) Y( y8 {2 ]8 ~6 l
不妨说出来与道友分享。4 d0 `% w0 J; `/ q
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
4 y. ]- a4 B8 y/ h, H. e% K9 J1 \me from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
% F0 }, a0 p4 n3 C( e0 i+ L2 |那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转
3 L- ?( v2 x* g9 E6 I7 I0 U" N绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于" {5 f3 P5 p5 D  J& I  L
浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心6 s4 Q. H/ R  d1 Q1 E* I
情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。
& Q0 M4 t! P# YThis golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is
* ?' E" f" v& n$ o( {5 oabsolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting5 i, X" Z1 B$ Q" D4 y5 T
setting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is
1 Q& e2 I( N! _3 O) htime for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste% ]5 i# U1 u0 m/ i) F, U) z1 U; ]* l
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our
. z2 q# C( g) h* }* Xprecious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in
6 U. m) B7 z! C' vaccordance to the Dharma.
0 V0 Y# {3 Y5 T5 V7 O: L# n2 J7 D8 v一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却5 {9 K; I$ n: g6 }' x3 J
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自# Q/ x* Y2 t1 \" Q5 o- i- j( f
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中0 s1 D* q  _4 @& N7 N
已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”
/ {# f7 b  x  i% ~/ YA good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may) c3 |  r% W" |6 F% N8 Y. ?( P
seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,
- T( T7 a9 s3 f+ r( h8 ^reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far3 k. l4 ^+ a  M
better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this$ B; G& }6 n  n2 Q- P
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:3 ]  y0 u; V8 W4 ~4 O6 W& t/ s' M& y3 p
A wise man is like a fine steed:
  b: r, H. M1 _2 N8 ?* f) `Being ever mindful even when relaxing,: ^5 |: f( h0 E, V; I6 T. ]
Being wakeful while appearing to sleep.; |$ e& F* W' ^! I7 `
Far superior to common folks he is.
# `& T" y$ H5 Z, B" @5 q. s晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”
- ~+ K& ~# w" ~, \: ~9 n9 G$ ]The scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:* u; J+ ~  t8 ~& B* C: a2 F
In people’s haunt I build my cot;: F- s3 z) j& ^- D" k8 P# G- G6 s0 p$ e
Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.
" _0 T& R. p- r# ]- k9 vHow can it leave on me no trace?
0 H7 K" Z$ B/ g5 Q+ r- K( VSecluded heart makes secluded place.4 o2 u/ C! R9 X, s& |, ~7 s
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自
! l8 d' x+ U7 u; W% o5 a然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然! V3 [+ G; e% G" ?2 Q, i& a; f
不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。
; T8 E; K8 E/ A/ u* @Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or
) G- E5 z1 O. H: M: l0 m4 o" M3 _carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down
& A! E* z/ `5 B% f0 g& y& Qwhen the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A
( \! X! h1 Y7 Fpeaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds5 E, b4 i% F" G, r! r: i: w
remain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind2 _) D) M: C1 H
naturally transports us to a secluded place.% A# C9 L  U- q6 e$ u
