城市里的人们,脸上都挂着疲倦和痛苦的表情。究竟为什么会这样呢?经过我的详细观察

,发现大多是因为钱财。 B) E8 s* M' j8 F4 P
3 `2 i- G0 X5 A O5 iCity dwellers usually wear a look of weariness and worry. Why is that so? After my careful0 w' }6 m* s* [5 r0 U
2 W* \9 k0 L1 A4 ]. R1 o0 w( b, Mobservation, I find money issues are largely to blame.+ }! @: |% x- G. m1 j) G
$ j \! N4 {; J众生赖以生存的这付臭皮囊,如果不幸降临于都市,就时刻需要钱财的支撑,否则就会轰" g- D6 G( t, ~) `8 ^4 G
/ I6 ?% s3 l9 ~6 j3 q
然坍塌。也许有的人会说:“不可能吧?”但在都市里,你会处处感觉到钱财的重要性。
+ W; `6 v1 I- ^9 {
- ^; L4 _0 x/ H; N% o% s5 @无论吃饭、穿衣、看病、睡觉,甚至上厕所,也离不开钱。真的应了那句话:“钱不是万
2 M$ [& @! ?2 ]# D' T/ j/ T! i8 `( X# d/ k! T% L8 z. m: H' b2 `, F
能的,但没有钱是万万不能的。”
x4 j+ U2 j5 P- C9 Q/ L
' T# O U0 A! v( Y0 jThis sack of flesh and bones that we humans survive in, if it fatefully lands in a city, will need the
- H# M! [* `$ g$ x; l
/ E5 R$ b6 m* }! P( lconstant support of money. Otherwise, it will fall with a thump. Some of you may argue: “That’s' d, T6 k# a9 {9 m3 c6 d/ Z% G
_* q; |& i( Q( E i
not quite possible!” But in the city, one is forced to be keenly aware of the power of money. Any9 f( p+ B) t- U4 |& J/ i
3 o8 b3 K+ K9 ]$ q ractivity—be it eating, buying clothes, and seeing the doctor, sleeping, even going to the
1 M/ X9 ?& o \ \0 q/ E) Q* e) |+ K# h
# p8 s! @3 L6 H( V' w: Xtoilet—calls for money. It is exactly how the saying goes: “Money is not almighty, but without& j" ~( x3 {4 Q: U# f' O/ z
5 [+ t# N4 L0 U. T1 ~0 n, `" Mmoney nothing can be done.”# d0 R" w) s/ k
5 y6 C, |6 {8 [8 X/ G0 A5 `0 d" S没有钱,都市人的一切生存活动都不得不停滞。为了五蕴所构建的这部机器能正常运转,# e% i6 d1 c$ F) X7 Y5 {
- N4 C- Y2 v6 S) [' G' z4 [( c' c
人不得不像奴仆一样,为这部机器的能源——钱财而搏斗。我时常在想,如果人能像蚯蚓, \5 O+ I2 X. U( u8 {7 ]" v, n
5 w" v& s/ W2 z, D8 }- l2 g一样吃土也能生存该多好啊!但现实无情地告诉我,城市人要寻求生存的因是异常困难的3 d6 r5 S3 j' _- U: r1 D
' V) a9 v( C9 r- p5 J# p5 b- F。9 }' y* F. v* l1 z% y
) j0 D5 a4 }6 h3 E/ ?
With no money, all living activities in the city have to come to a halt. In order to have our body K& E# N3 p# ~+ E3 Y X5 @; x
. x6 b% }, Z' |9 X: ]2 o/ umachine, the composite of five aggregates, function normally; humans have to struggle like* h) p- V/ Q" t4 X s; j& B' O7 r
! i( w! t; j) C& \. u( d
slaves to garner the source of its fuel—money. I often think, wouldn’t it be wonderful if humans
5 n* R! {+ s1 J9 R+ h' Y* @; W, z7 q( ]
could survive just by imbibing soil like the earthworm! But cruel reality tells me otherwise: for

3 V5 c, q. U/ u6 d- `5 O' \+ a6 Cpeople living in the city, the provisions to survive are by no means easy to come by.( N) D1 h5 X: p) B, V3 C% f
( a$ N% x( p& f \4 [所以,城市的人只有忙忙碌碌。不论他是谁,都会感受为钱财奔波而带来的痛苦。以前以

为城市人过着天人一般的日子,现在方知,他们更是备受煎熬啊!这一切,令我想起山里: ~. v( Q9 E! `( ]& `: ~! u2 H
# Z; I( B0 n( G2 l8 T的修行人。在山里,除了食物,不需要为更多的事操心,生存的因自然具足。同样是10003 d- q' @, N8 S
3 ?/ n( Q: t& @ T$ C7 _' g元,在山里,就是腰板挺直的大富翁;然而在城市里,却有捉襟见肘、相形见绌的感觉。' k8 [) j( r0 |% N1 y: a
3 s( q/ |+ u. u6 Q2 WConsequently, city folks are reduced to being always on the run. The anguish of having to work& a- s+ C$ E G& m# Q0 t+ L. s
: w) h5 b4 u( m& I8 f; m i6 r' o
hard for money is felt by practically everyone. Previously I had the illusion that people in the city
) j+ {3 }8 c: z
+ Q% W+ \/ g/ M5 d d; q& zlive like celestial beings; only now do I come to see the extra agony they have to endure. This

6 P: v' h4 O% f( s) V& a, zreminds me of those spiritual seekers deep in the mountains where the environment is naturally
: r+ }2 [) P9 n: U6 T* v- m* O. p& m
conducive to survival. Other than food, there are not too many things to worry about, and a

9 f7 W) Z8 g- Y. J2 I! i/ rperson with 1,000 yuan can stand tall and be considered a rich person. While in the city, the4 ?0 E/ t) Y# O V
2 ?+ Y7 H4 S) d) k0 n2 i. _same amount of money won’t go too far; one is unable to make ends meet and will feel a sense

0 K' [ m0 a3 J7 H% y, hof inferiority.6 T( U( l' L3 F' G4 a/ Q9 s. Z

作为修行人,就是应当以积累圣者七财为荣,积累世间钱财为耻,视清贫为最好的伴侣。

噶当派大德们最推崇的教言就是:$ O8 M0 B4 p- v" O( j6 D& M

A spiritual seeker should be defined as one who is proud of accruing the seven noble riches, who

Base your death on a lonely cave.
