+ N- R' ^  Z+ B+ ]4 j+ _/ P全知麦彭仁波切的大弟子,直品单比尼玛是青海班玛县人。他在8岁时就能将《入行论》讲2 R" j" t- i. n2 p( k5 j
" P  p( D5 j& ?& \4 ^: n; Z
得十分精彩。他时常手拿与身体高矮不相上下的书夹(藏地以竹、木所制,用于搁放经书之- v* p( e5 c! L: y% J6 g
3 b& |+ H3 F; x4 h' p6 T
夹板,长的约2市尺),为别人传讲。令多年闻思之人也咂咂称奇。

8 a5 L: t0 h# O' qJikme Tenpe Nyima of Pema, Qinghai, was the chief disciple of the great Ju Mipham Rinpoche.

When he was barely 8 years old, he was able to give excellent teachings on A Guide to the
$ _7 `9 k3 M' M6 f3 I- ~7 b; P( i* n' t, \$ u% H
Bodhisattva Way of Life. On such occasions he usually held a text holder (the Tibetan traditional  J# @, T. X$ L: S& F
  j7 z* `; H: `$ b0 n. h
text holders are made of silk brocade reinforced with bamboo, about 2-chi long) of almost the
: A( |/ U  P+ Z8 r) C5 p: b9 n1 W( q, w4 [6 a
same length as his height, a sight that made people, even those with years of Dharma practice,9 Y: g7 x/ D+ X! h

8 T: M$ n  ?2 k$ u4 Omarvel and lavish him with praise.7 ~( c& p3 a( G8 u

* j& m$ U/ a% \6 z8 B. U华智仁波切对此感慨说:“多竹仁波切(直品单比尼玛的别名)8岁为人宣讲佛法,看来宁玛

To this, Patrul Rinpoche was pleased to comment: “Now that Dodrup Rinpoche (another name of

- z7 t1 h, ~- D& \% @Jikme Tenpe Nyima) teaches the Dharma at the age of 8, it shows that the Nyingma tradition is8 J" w# W/ l) V2 Y% e3 _2 B

rising high and the future is great!”

直品单比尼玛为后人留下了大量诗歌,以及大圆满、大幻化网等方面有如如意宝般的典籍

1 W- y5 X+ D" f/ Y5 a: M: n: s  \宝库。今天我从中采撷一束,与大家共勉:“平时喜欢观察的寻伺者,想了达自然本智有) ~! ]1 j" b- w4 w6 Y1 O: H. P; {+ c
$ Y2 S; e; Q9 C0 _" u5 r3 _. q
一定障碍。因此应当常时恭敬祈祷上师,精进修持,才能证悟心的本面。自己通达之后,
& }0 A* Y# w! w* q; b
: t  ~0 d8 ~* L8 A不离观心性的同时,翻阅《七宝藏》等经论,自己的觉相、妙观察智会越发增上,必将有. s3 \# W' ^2 n4 _/ q! z
. h* h: f+ r( [5 d) M) O7 _' t( p
很大收获。

( d) q2 L3 j% R' Y; |Jikme Tenpe Nyima left future generations many poems and jewel-like treatises on the Great
  m8 K5 w2 h; |/ c6 F0 C6 @) o( S3 Y; h
Perfection and the Great Illusory Net. Here are some selections as food for thought: “The4 F8 ?' F) M% k  Y
7 U5 ?# P  d8 z" G
profound truth of primordial wisdom is difficult to grasp by people who are inclined to analysis. Z# r1 V# X0 }9 ]) |' |) X
9 J( B6 J6 L+ \/ Y, T
and logic. It is only through constant praying to the lama with devotion and faith, coupled with, c5 T6 v/ H& i! T: E

; P% h) ]% m/ k$ \8 ldiligent practice that we come to see the true face of the mind. As we get better, we can; ]' T; t" t% o2 k5 M- g6 t: F
5 P- p  G: l2 N7 U
maintain this recognition of the mind even as we are reading scriptures such as the Seven
* j) \  F" ~6 j! H. I; ^' g
, N& u: A7 a9 l0 \Treasures. Our insight and discriminating awareness will gradually increase, bringing us great
" `4 m5 \6 Y! z  s/ }; G! u5 I
% l5 l& I* k( G- U# I4 wbenefit.”! ~5 E3 g7 q6 W" f9 B" W' J  |

/ f/ ?) ]$ W' V' z8 u  h( L因此,如果能够一边观心性一边看书,或一边念咒一边看书都非常殊胜。江直仁波切说

4 A6 F: I! l2 n# q4 Z. t:“边看书边念咒有很大功德。初学者不能同时施行,到一定境界后就可以了。”

% x4 @+ [) R7 k( S0 Q3 C$ g: Z! F! L! y/ f* X
Therefore combining the task of reading text with the practice of seeing the mind’s nature or) V( Z) a0 @# K$ j
& ?$ p" X, r6 L# k# U. r
with the recitation of mantras is most wonderful. Gyangze Rinpoche says: “To recite a mantra$ d* @* H8 l  [& @
: ~8 T" v1 n& [5 \" ^9 Z" f
and to read scripture at the same time is very meritorious. This multitasking could be difficult for8 [2 Y+ b- e  Z+ ]! g5 a
" x- K8 C, h3 h& O. ^
a beginner, but the time will come when he reaches a certain level of practice.”! I* k5 O8 `" G9 p+ m

学院的许多堪布都是这样,通过这种方法,多年来完成了数目惊人的念咒数量。

6 N$ W; ~! Q" P1 ^Many khenpos at our academy are adept at this practice; this is how they manage to accumulate% I- ^) T7 S0 ?$ K/ Q

astonishing numbers of mantra recitations over the years.4 P: ~6 k! b% U: V. D7 b

( }# j" m; x/ C然而有的人却自视高明,既不看书,也不念咒,将宝贵的岁月白白荒废,真是枉为修行人
( V* D- _! [( R# v8 `4 B9 _, I

: K& `' {: A* t" yNonetheless, there are people with high opinions of themselves who neither bother to read* b: q1 n3 T0 f

books nor recite mantras. They waste their precious lives meaninglessly and do not deserve the  ^$ S7 Y& Y; o, X. Z
: J( B) [  c9 {4 k4 c% I1 c+ V
