全知麦彭仁波切的大弟子,直品单比尼玛是青海班玛县人。他在8岁时就能将《入行论》讲
  E$ V3 j2 }6 h  y  T4 `3 o2 u+ l- ^* R& d+ x. d
得十分精彩。他时常手拿与身体高矮不相上下的书夹(藏地以竹、木所制,用于搁放经书之
8 g1 u- |; s* Y3 j3 v0 |
+ a5 Z6 O! v' J& p9 k夹板,长的约2市尺),为别人传讲。令多年闻思之人也咂咂称奇。

Bodhisattva Way of Life. On such occasions he usually held a text holder (the Tibetan traditional( V) R3 n6 p3 G$ t" i! @9 g

) I' J5 Z9 g0 n4 L! t' \4 `: l$ ?) Ztext holders are made of silk brocade reinforced with bamboo, about 2-chi long) of almost the
' J/ Q! _) B( I; S6 S( |
/ w% @: q% Q8 k" k; asame length as his height, a sight that made people, even those with years of Dharma practice,
4 ~0 v7 c; R6 h6 \+ I- \/ c$ F' m
marvel and lavish him with praise.5 g) e7 ^# ?( v) i6 _

4 I# O1 w  A/ t/ v- g  L华智仁波切对此感慨说:“多竹仁波切(直品单比尼玛的别名)8岁为人宣讲佛法,看来宁玛

5 o: n0 D! g6 ]1 d巴的教法正值辉煌时期,前途无量啊!

To this, Patrul Rinpoche was pleased to comment: “Now that Dodrup Rinpoche (another name of

Jikme Tenpe Nyima) teaches the Dharma at the age of 8, it shows that the Nyingma tradition is

rising high and the future is great!”9 u' T, k9 I4 S$ i

+ y5 c8 n' r6 P4 @, P/ g" m$ F直品单比尼玛为后人留下了大量诗歌,以及大圆满、大幻化网等方面有如如意宝般的典籍

# v* J5 \8 K5 [3 l宝库。今天我从中采撷一束,与大家共勉:“平时喜欢观察的寻伺者,想了达自然本智有/ @% T  d: w# U  l4 _0 A
  s( B, n4 s* N6 ~( H: v* |0 A
一定障碍。因此应当常时恭敬祈祷上师,精进修持,才能证悟心的本面。自己通达之后,3 h' [, o* \' {6 r% @5 h6 I" c( O4 Z) B

$ ^8 R3 o$ S% k1 P, |$ ^不离观心性的同时,翻阅《七宝藏》等经论,自己的觉相、妙观察智会越发增上,必将有0 S' m' N* {+ N( X0 E1 ?) F, D
% p6 [; _& |5 [( _% y& n' a
很大收获。
+ n* J  V+ I% {! k3 v2 ?  i) f
+ t+ K2 y1 F0 P' j7 j9 l& |
Jikme Tenpe Nyima left future generations many poems and jewel-like treatises on the Great
$ _3 I% u: L. D5 g5 p/ l# q+ g) O7 c! D6 v" j
Perfection and the Great Illusory Net. Here are some selections as food for thought: “The
5 `8 A, ^; `& C( p3 d7 v' o1 j5 v& k' b6 m# C% k, O
profound truth of primordial wisdom is difficult to grasp by people who are inclined to analysis
" F& B( d  W9 E" O! R
+ g5 ?, q! Y. b: H' l1 c6 tand logic. It is only through constant praying to the lama with devotion and faith, coupled with
0 C- T. c( c% k1 B' X+ n3 M% t1 I( b/ u$ G/ t+ o3 L# \
diligent practice that we come to see the true face of the mind. As we get better, we can' {' z, S" I+ L/ Y1 C

, _9 i# t, ]' `9 g2 v3 m1 ~maintain this recognition of the mind even as we are reading scriptures such as the Seven' D4 p0 o/ W& u
( _' r* Q* {9 p0 o: [
Treasures. Our insight and discriminating awareness will gradually increase, bringing us great
  `* a+ O) W. ~% y8 c
; H# K, r0 d# A& Qbenefit.”

$ u9 L% ~( Z6 B7 ^2 b2 s因此,如果能够一边观心性一边看书,或一边念咒一边看书都非常殊胜。江直仁波切说
4 B1 W( k7 c" n; h1 G! c) w+ H
:“边看书边念咒有很大功德。初学者不能同时施行,到一定境界后就可以了。”

! U( b3 o+ X7 |: pTherefore combining the task of reading text with the practice of seeing the mind’s nature or
3 q' C" i1 M& {& K# K, c  s0 ~* {. N
1 e4 U9 _: {  p. Lwith the recitation of mantras is most wonderful. Gyangze Rinpoche says: “To recite a mantra- ]0 M; J) B" S1 u

& \5 G# c; z' z8 l$ V6 D" Jand to read scripture at the same time is very meritorious. This multitasking could be difficult for
# D# t- U' s# c
2 X$ C" d# q! ~( ra beginner, but the time will come when he reaches a certain level of practice.”
0 q0 x/ V! h8 z0 r8 S) v7 r6 m- z2 t3 d" M
学院的许多堪布都是这样,通过这种方法,多年来完成了数目惊人的念咒数量。

Many khenpos at our academy are adept at this practice; this is how they manage to accumulate+ k: D* I" ?, Y+ K

astonishing numbers of mantra recitations over the years.: R5 ]  O# T, x. s
" z7 ~- ~+ U3 e8 T, E* s
然而有的人却自视高明,既不看书,也不念咒,将宝贵的岁月白白荒废,真是枉为修行人6 [3 y: o2 H9 N. h
! i* \" |* L: O, R, P
了!

2 ~$ V4 s. b0 m& E7 Z: ENonetheless, there are people with high opinions of themselves who neither bother to read
9 m" b6 h! X$ U+ ^) [( q% m1 w8 J$ ^4 }8 d5 ]! j: H. c% l
books nor recite mantras. They waste their precious lives meaninglessly and do not deserve the
7 s5 |( c' D+ [* q9 E# i5 j$ D- p/ T1 W
name of practitioners!
