心宝 | Heart Treasure( ^" @* ^  y9 y8 Q  C
  o9 c' n: H! V" j9 v* H9 }
宁玛巴的很多成就者们留与后代的世间财产,虽然不能与所谓的富翁同日而语,但他们以& M0 Y5 u) U. T0 q$ ?+ ?0 Y
- {) f3 n) d$ p- X
智悲精华凝聚而成的智慧宝库,却丰富多彩、琳琅满目,令世间富翁们望尘莫及。只要有" v# v# F$ Z: s3 ]% ?1 g9 i( Y% b
7 y& i! y/ y5 I) O4 l# l
信心的钥匙,在此宝库中都能找到令自己欣喜若狂的珍宝。

8 ~' t# d' a( M4 y* c- pNyingmapa masters have not left much worldly inheritances to their successors when compared; Y6 ?- Q4 G/ [! j$ s; o

" z& ]0 d- R5 c! R: v, J7 Awith those wealthy tycoons. But the masters have far surpassed the worldly riches in leaving
" ^2 W$ s6 z2 V/ q- m% X. W* w& Y- \2 [
their followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated
  t' s) k' b- J, R  v- \8 V3 c/ Y3 B$ N! `4 B1 o
wisdom and compassion. Anyone equipped with the key of faith will discover in the vault gems
' c/ S9 d+ v" h3 D& c% o6 n
; V/ e. }) p8 ^- X/ z5 Y. u$ Ithat bring boundless joy.
, f7 n4 }: C( L% L1 b  V( h1 P! U; _  d7 w. y
今天,我到喇拉曲智仁波切的宝库里逛了逛。里面的宝物不可胜数,让贪婪的我一阵阵狂
7 I+ t6 O8 T' q" m) u. S4 z, S+ |3 H& t( s; u" _  c6 q" {
喜。但因力气有限,难以全部背负而出。只有选择一段认识心性的教言,忍不住想翻译过
/ x5 A6 X0 @: m# @
9 n! |  ~5 L' J( ]- h来,分享与人。希望没灌大圆满顶的道友不要偷看,否则护法会惩罚的。

7 @! J) I: ~' L' @- F0 k+ I$ h8 K, d
Today, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.
) ?& F9 X) \, j, W) K& I( n! P' @' |
Innumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more8 `- A9 s" b/ S$ g
0 |( y: Z7 Q5 {& ~! o
Dharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the6 X* K9 K7 m9 |  h# s+ T9 l6 z7 t8 R8 _

8 w9 n1 n. C. M4 e3 h+ ztreasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of
" @  \1 K3 {/ A% t5 Y6 R/ _
5 M' s+ B( b# dthe mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the
4 R# g, c6 c" Y  [+ _: n7 f% y* Y) W* l' C8 h) C4 y6 |
transmission on Great Perfection should refrain from reading it. Otherwise, a reprimand from the; }, s# m5 L4 ~' e" W3 [$ B

' q4 J: I3 k  _( B5 S/ K& fDharma Protectors is sure to come.
. p7 M6 ]% t: F4 n
$ S$ [2 N! E$ L; d+ o7 ~( E“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之
6 c( B! c) i% {: B4 t6 a: }: w1 i; i+ R2 g) H
心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆/ {) j7 ]$ c! t
) _/ ]+ v9 t" A% X
为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与  o# f  G4 |. |5 l. ?& y

9 r, A0 T. Q: |0 {* d9 z显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细; C2 Z" i  x( A
' Q2 O* {( g1 P0 T; m; S: U
微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。: m. _- g+ c+ n# {2 x

, G1 T$ ?+ ]5 o7 a* ]# ~& F2 q此外,以修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法为助缘。我宁玛老人索朗钦则(喇' c" n* ^3 a! B9 v: q& c% @
$ m6 W8 S4 T4 X6 f5 z. g
拉曲智仁波切的名字)平时所修持的唯有这些。愿其成为有缘者之心宝。”

+ N2 |; {/ N2 ^; B) Y. K. y“Briefly, the heart treasure of direct pointing out is as follows: All phenomena appear because of# z" V! C8 ?% }' e$ {

+ T/ S! E* C5 k3 `7 w' S3 q! F; ]4 fthe mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking) v) r! ~9 i+ n# g" |4 m

5 H, n6 b( X+ |6 T' nfor one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since
7 P7 F8 x# J5 y7 z5 R7 t! ~
1 L7 B; n8 Y. L( p7 e: e) p0 lbeginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the
, K1 h0 `+ k5 R/ ?* B* ~- G$ r( p& E# H8 f7 @
‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the: g  N, B, J6 x! l
! j& `) E4 ?' @/ y0 S1 h3 @( _
view of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness
/ T9 R3 ]2 C1 F
/ U! E% h8 Q: s/ R. d3 U; U8 vand the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of. T$ r  r0 S  j4 ^0 t

3 r& t) T  J2 @2 Q7 }3 O5 z& T( q) TGreat Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle, `7 V% P/ `- E- p8 z

  k4 p- Q6 \" udiscursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and
, Q0 b( Z) q0 Z. Q3 C6 {. a- x4 m- Y; Y1 ]5 Y3 k4 Z; X/ n' S) b
mindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,/ b7 F* c/ R2 O4 g  E
& s1 _! g( J! j( E0 S, z7 D
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta,# F' f& l9 t9 R' W+ I% D% ?
, V2 A- O7 Q% U5 i. o% t
practicing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning
& k, q0 B5 u5 o: v4 R* Z2 |0 e. y& f$ R9 O; ?6 H% v! N
evils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices
7 |5 M  a7 ~7 z: B, a5 w7 P# \
/ U6 ^: u5 x' Y7 r: S! D+ }' h, a5 _besides these. May beings with fortunate karma also come to know this heart treasure!”

如今,我们得到了如此珍贵的心宝,实在应当珍惜。

, s' d. D2 |) \0 @0 J' q& f: f' q/ {( z  L" S) B& I
At this moment, we’ve received such a precious heart treasure, shouldn’t we cherish it dearly?
7 u+ U, e: v3 p* c( F" A
+ V2 C% W1 u2 y! M" p6 m6 k% v也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法
3 Y$ Q5 k1 C: H7 c! n: T4 {3 l! x& Y
! w8 T2 z# Y7 S, p/ N" a+ M2 U,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?

5 F7 c7 g) m% E9 }% C; x+ P
* b% L6 Y) r8 C5 z/ oOf course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great% G3 {: I4 q: h: {/ ~2 p! A1 x& O

, x# j4 G2 j8 X1 ~- [6 gPerfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly
7 }5 M+ f* ^5 o, b  q" P* U5 `* k- z* K
virtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do3 @$ C" k& v  N9 q; N0 M

, E* A2 K8 k" f$ ]they really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?. m5 X: v  x4 r8 }

% x) }, v! ^: Q9 j1 |, l5 `前辈大德们交付予后学者的教言心宝,已经毫无保留地呈现在我们面前,只有逐字逐句地
) P& D  a6 t+ l1 L& Y& V2 L
! u3 o2 \7 q; @" H4 L; j! V4 Q思维,并融入自己的相续,认识心的本性,并长期修持,才能无愧于上师三宝的大恩加被

6 e- ?! S( t$ B, g+ y8 }4 `% i9 mThe heart treasures left by our past masters have now been fully revealed to us without any
# |( z6 D9 E0 c0 [! A- \- t( a* G' W& m* E, ^: X; ~* N
reservation. We should reflect upon them deeply, word by word, to permeate our mind with
* g) N" T/ U0 p$ u: U$ s& y' [' X( Z+ `* m  s+ n( p. m$ A
them, recognize the nature of the mind, and continue the practice for a long period of time. Only) A0 E# Q3 z8 j" |& {& V  l+ Q8 a

; P, N' G/ W4 W$ v4 Dby so doing can we prove ourselves worthy of the kind blessings from our masters and the Three& k7 d& o3 O1 n1 E6 V0 u. q: z
