心宝 | Heart Treasure

宁玛巴的很多成就者们留与后代的世间财产,虽然不能与所谓的富翁同日而语,但他们以
. o* r# t' [* a; K& r( L: A/ K, K$ y2 [3 i' @5 ^  J" P/ I) y% n
智悲精华凝聚而成的智慧宝库,却丰富多彩、琳琅满目,令世间富翁们望尘莫及。只要有

- n; }1 Y! }% c$ Z: q信心的钥匙,在此宝库中都能找到令自己欣喜若狂的珍宝。

, u1 a, ~5 a" m  d: _3 _Nyingmapa masters have not left much worldly inheritances to their successors when compared
1 X4 N# U9 T! [! C2 k: A2 ~
+ K: L) @& h0 X! n! k6 Uwith those wealthy tycoons. But the masters have far surpassed the worldly riches in leaving
) H) P; @; v7 h" y$ @4 b, `" [" Q5 f* `: ^, S; ]  D
their followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated6 c% [: w" U3 d  }+ |$ f8 M

7 @8 y9 f& Q& S! d5 Ewisdom and compassion. Anyone equipped with the key of faith will discover in the vault gems
6 `. T; _2 O" |# Q6 ~) Z; R- L; s
3 \8 N0 P; O$ Xthat bring boundless joy.0 \! {3 f" t2 X3 p% T3 @

) f4 _4 V( M4 i$ `今天,我到喇拉曲智仁波切的宝库里逛了逛。里面的宝物不可胜数,让贪婪的我一阵阵狂/ H" m2 {! u" I- q6 L# V% S6 [
' q) @9 V- p4 a( Y9 x6 v9 @) M
喜。但因力气有限,难以全部背负而出。只有选择一段认识心性的教言,忍不住想翻译过# H; n+ f, S: N4 z5 R8 {

, p  x2 y9 u/ B5 O来,分享与人。希望没灌大圆满顶的道友不要偷看,否则护法会惩罚的。
! c7 b0 T4 K8 E. D$ w
! H/ E6 ~6 _$ k' K# }
Today, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.5 R# @3 W: M2 h3 R: n
5 K! |) T3 \3 F6 _
Innumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more% ~  X) ^0 V3 T! ]) A
( r- B/ B' l; S& A
Dharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the
0 m$ [7 e. l: ]- s2 v: ]; K
* I1 b1 h: r2 }* b& `" qtreasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of
6 c, c' g1 o. j$ t
& V; L  l6 c3 r. S6 tthe mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the
$ h5 v5 {& E+ ?; ~- o" l, D: X7 j
. G; k" J" y+ i) I5 ktransmission on Great Perfection should refrain from reading it. Otherwise, a reprimand from the
! {: x. @& N1 N0 M# V  T0 i8 F
9 r: w* F1 k: xDharma Protectors is sure to come.
& C+ F' P2 M; ]& O* x
- g3 I* ~9 r" B9 j6 E$ O9 F+ O“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之. a" o/ U2 q  c0 m! @! {  X

* T# u9 B2 A" H8 M( D2 T: G心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆. a/ g+ Z" L2 B% y  ~& u' ~

, b3 u' h3 y) }- C! f# e# U8 m为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与
/ k# s1 D7 F# U8 G
; _1 s9 [, e# I  F; [! y* f; `显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细4 h8 K' U$ _- U! a
! g0 x# I- ^2 e% P$ A/ q) B: ~
微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。9 K- {6 K) D- Q" M

& P' p( I3 O7 Q2 ^- f此外,以修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法为助缘。我宁玛老人索朗钦则(喇9 k3 V/ q) x3 o3 t: H0 ~
! }5 w5 ?+ |7 m
拉曲智仁波切的名字)平时所修持的唯有这些。愿其成为有缘者之心宝。”

" E3 Z' F2 f( w( z! Z1 U“Briefly, the heart treasure of direct pointing out is as follows: All phenomena appear because of
, f2 ~9 r) {7 E+ V+ c- G6 z  D; K4 e( r
the mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking2 f+ z! [5 O; ^3 J. M3 L# ?

6 `1 p; p8 @0 E. f$ ]' ffor one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since
( p# n  F' Z5 H& [# a- k/ N8 {, V8 Y
beginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the
  A0 p! z. L5 J4 B2 Z# c3 y. m5 K$ h; j  s
‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the
9 g$ _  U- x; g% V. V7 L; @1 ]
2 B8 K+ t# o( ]3 H6 yview of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness
: ?  z1 `& C* t: P/ f
" l- w7 \9 J9 y  |6 B9 Iand the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of$ T% G3 c" m, i( h$ H+ }& I
# \' v) B+ e  o
Great Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle% w& C, c& k. z! i: v2 {

4 F9 z) H( {6 K% m* _- hdiscursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and3 Q+ @* l3 ]0 c0 J

9 g* z& E) ~& P- G* xmindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,
: Y3 ~- x# u" ~% I% z) K% u8 _+ x# s# t9 O  g* `
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta," Y  n3 y* S2 h. O( i

( l; s! }$ h% h" {/ _" t7 ?practicing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning7 p1 `: K, W% m  O

* g; k  T# D% o( R: ?6 \# g% \4 Revils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices' c5 G' u1 X& ]- y6 e

/ A: n1 O; e# Y4 G  u# Vbesides these. May beings with fortunate karma also come to know this heart treasure!”

$ T$ L' g; Y# G) O# d" C2 v2 g如今,我们得到了如此珍贵的心宝,实在应当珍惜。

At this moment, we’ve received such a precious heart treasure, shouldn’t we cherish it dearly?+ i1 y4 U! `8 z' R6 l1 n

, K! I1 Z0 P' b& F也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法
+ x3 _2 X, {, p, u* W
( _; u$ h  h) K% e. u! j1 E,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?

7 |# Z& r0 i" B+ N6 i- H7 u6 J+ u  A4 d8 ]1 M
Of course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great
1 z  w1 {+ S; y/ [, u/ E! R, {4 v7 V9 r+ `7 T3 B% Y# S6 ?1 q/ c
Perfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly
% ]8 g! ~+ R+ E* O8 G5 w: g! \6 W1 {! ]# u/ p8 t
virtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do9 ]8 ?3 _% U8 |) n, p
5 H) |1 ]/ M  O" X7 c& M# d
they really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?1 \" A1 U+ f" g! p8 s1 F0 a
1 S" W# d/ m. N: V3 m
前辈大德们交付予后学者的教言心宝,已经毫无保留地呈现在我们面前,只有逐字逐句地

7 T" o, E; {; I2 m% G5 c- h0 k思维,并融入自己的相续,认识心的本性,并长期修持,才能无愧于上师三宝的大恩加被

7 G3 ]( s2 C+ M5 `3 WThe heart treasures left by our past masters have now been fully revealed to us without any

) Q2 ]  p/ P- |3 b/ Nreservation. We should reflect upon them deeply, word by word, to permeate our mind with

them, recognize the nature of the mind, and continue the practice for a long period of time. Only! L$ G  S& ~+ I6 Q+ m% ~3 O) _

" M7 D8 `  ]* h  B6 ?5 h! ?* H  Aby so doing can we prove ourselves worthy of the kind blessings from our masters and the Three
