与其避重就轻地逃避这个题目,不如勇敢地正视它。5 w9 l, m J+ T+ P; ]. X
# ~5 r: j( F$ _2 k! ]How reluctant am I to touch upon this subject! But “to leave the monastic order” presents a: P* s9 [. B+ M: D# }

cruel reality we must face in the current time of five degenerations. Instead of dodging the issue,

I may as well look at it squarely and bravely.+ I8 \! D9 H0 V/ G r' ?; H1 p4 g; p

今天,听到一位出家十几年的人,为烦恼所缠,已还俗好几个月了。听到这个消息,心里$ X3 W5 ^9 E9 i% _
4 y8 D5 [9 r2 {) k
像吃了一只苍蝇般不是滋味。记得在他出家初期,也可算得上是闻思精进、戒律清净、智, g/ r: U& p+ o5 R
& H `" q. v2 g# `2 i
慧日益增上的典范。他曾说过:“我只要活一天,决不还俗。让我还俗,还不如死掉。”- v! R5 L' c+ a+ m5 s/ R
4 V( [3 A; w. e' A* J$ U" C这样一位下了很大决心的人,却食言还俗,十分令人痛心。
5 g7 ?) o, g# a! Q4 L& [# f4 r/ b. z% i W, K) f
A few months ago a monk, beset by afflictions, declared to renounce his monastic life of more

than 10 years. When I heard this news today, I got quite upset as if I had swallowed a fly. I recall7 \9 J, e% G# ?! w
/ _8 x! X+ c6 a: j8 x' tearly on, his ordained peers had regarded him as a model by his diligent study and keeping pure' {4 ~1 g/ ^3 L5 J$ w
0 o- A3 D r0 M& a' q
precepts. Once he asserted: “As long as I am alive, I will never leave the monastic order even for
# O4 x$ ` q, C) G! n
% m. S: ?8 F) t5 tone day. For me, returning to the worldly life is worse than dying.” A person who proclaimed his
! y' ^2 J) A# l( n0 O( @7 U7 K, A
& {- |: Y; R9 o& V& i4 ~2 vfaith with such strong determination still ended up eating his own words and repealed his vow.& L# q M3 H3 B9 i+ L* x2 Z% U

How can I not feel sick at heart! m; h2 y3 O. `# T0 N- K
) _! k3 \0 G7 L7 J. G他在电话中闭口不谈佛法,却无休止地言及他的生意。当问到他生意如何时,他像饱含 了5 {3 }1 P# }8 \
E2 |) |$ f# s* j4 o4 D. I一大堆苦水,忙不迭地向我倾倒:“如今的生意太难做了!每天8小时,却挣不到十元钱。

* f/ y/ z" ~# y想起以前出家时无忧无虑的生活,真像在天堂一样啊!唉!!”听了他的苦恼,我真不知

4 v6 u' b+ ]+ d5 A8 ]9 P+ t3 \: y$ s
Over the phone, he veered away from discussing the Dharma, but instead tattled endlessly about

his business. When I asked how it was going, he started to pour out to me his pent-up miseries:- f! f/ K. b% @& E W! z2 \
8 z5 @1 S% |7 ?5 _/ M6 w C, @
“You know, it’s so difficult to do business these days! My hard labor of eight hours daily earns me
?% Q9 z. p+ s9 T+ y- _2 u, E8 c: C
less than 10 yuan. The ordained life at the monastery, as I recall now, was so peaceful and worry-
" u9 w5 i; V [$ l! J7 H3 z. ^! z u, ~; r
free, almost like living in heaven! Alas!!” Hearing his complaints, I have no idea how to respond.+ q9 w4 Q4 O5 U3 o) T, v+ O

不过令我庆幸的是,他的见解至今尚未改变,对三宝的信心也没有退减,忏悔心恒时不离. X6 `$ K5 u2 X1 O) S$ K6 ^7 |% h
- ~& a6 _% u7 z0 v( ^3 k5 }
左右。虽忙于生意,却不离念诵。

喇拉曲智仁波切曾有一位很有名的弟子因故还俗,但别人毁谤他时,仁波切却说:“毁谤

别人是错误的,他的身体虽然还俗了,心却没有还俗。”

正见。”如果见解毁坏,不行忏悔,反而责怪上师三宝,即使身体没有还俗,其内心却已2 F- c- e5 p6 o1 q( D/ n! Y

It is stated in the scripture: “Better to break the precepts than to damage the right view.” In the% v7 Y9 l' g# ~/ E4 I6 [/ [( v0 i
: g4 T" k$ V) O8 N) z. e2 YFour Hundred Verses of Madhyamaka, it says: “One would rather transgress edicts than abandon

, D/ A9 f. y6 n* bthe right view.” If a person has ruined his right view but, instead of confessing sincerely, he3 e( q: n4 ]1 a# X

points the finger at the guru or the Three Jewels, then this person’s mind is incurably corrupt,
