散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也
4 ^. f) @- X  X不妨说出来与道友分享。3 i+ p0 y* a' I# W/ J8 ?$ w( u/ J+ B
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
" k/ |' ^, B* b4 H+ s! eme from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
8 j: ^& }  G+ d1 f* V那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转
2 J$ E( l6 Z, u绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于9 B! ]7 H2 ]% }9 J+ M& N
浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心
8 U4 L. O5 l* K. ]) g情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。
! ?9 a& w4 S# O* @& O% Y6 C" a1 [This golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is
& R0 g! a6 ~5 A2 x! Wabsolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting
7 f6 l" u% t. S1 dsetting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is
7 B' m0 a- F, k0 e2 Ztime for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste+ g" E  r9 L$ Y8 \. T/ _/ X6 x
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our, Y! A; R+ W$ K3 k$ p8 _
precious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in
3 ?& {9 I  H& l  _( d. J8 T; haccordance to the Dharma.5 w+ L, F( ^6 }, P4 O5 e/ x
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却4 U) y9 |5 X+ B4 C$ h
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自8 k# x4 t+ S" ^% p' h; R/ V
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中! G6 z3 \; i- r; f' [. n; [
已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”# ?3 N$ V) D, C
A good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may- g. E% }5 H! G, J
seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,
: O* J% ?. k/ g: V5 l- f' wreciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far$ p3 O! i' }1 n" P* E0 \2 R0 d1 d
better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this0 J& \" R6 W* M
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:& _4 B' r- ~& Z' v8 k
A wise man is like a fine steed:
1 L/ G) r- V+ @" E3 UBeing ever mindful even when relaxing,
7 K  @$ J* P9 O/ ?( f+ {" uBeing wakeful while appearing to sleep.
8 e$ j2 y: O) _, r) ~Far superior to common folks he is.# b6 r' |7 c. Y( v
晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”
6 R' D: ^- y  h. T6 DThe scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:6 O: F$ O& ]0 z% L
In people’s haunt I build my cot;( t- j8 \) c% w3 r0 ]) Q$ J
Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.# P1 b: u" L' q0 J5 b' z: S
How can it leave on me no trace?9 Q8 u! R5 s9 [! n" m
Secluded heart makes secluded place.. u3 y' o4 p* N% H& u% h; v
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自& F$ i9 c0 y1 k5 ]& ]& k
然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然' @" b# R5 p( w' ]$ A6 u& E+ G
不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。; \8 w  `4 l+ Q( `2 Q
Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or" @/ ]3 f! J; X8 ^$ C4 P6 H
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down5 u8 J% F  n$ Q5 w" g
when the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A' O4 s; a1 r* t. f
peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds$ A+ m: [$ F( b: {$ V0 ?; c+ a( D
remain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind
, U3 G8 f6 p+ o- g, bnaturally transports us to a secluded place.7 K! R, ^9 t6 B0 h) m/ C
