# `. R; E1 F* |9 y$ I; v全知麦彭仁波切的大弟子,直品单比尼玛是青海班玛县人。他在8岁时就能将《入行论》讲

得十分精彩。他时常手拿与身体高矮不相上下的书夹(藏地以竹、木所制,用于搁放经书之
( i, H2 Q9 J5 z0 b6 h
2 a) Z+ A4 K1 I" _5 ?5 g2 `* N夹板,长的约2市尺),为别人传讲。令多年闻思之人也咂咂称奇。

( `% {. W6 v2 @' {/ M: L* `3 O
Jikme Tenpe Nyima of Pema, Qinghai, was the chief disciple of the great Ju Mipham Rinpoche.2 V2 H. c) k* n0 ~) \5 a( N

When he was barely 8 years old, he was able to give excellent teachings on A Guide to the
* e4 O# J1 j: O: Z3 Z4 u4 b4 c  g$ K' K
& C: w- E9 q3 N: O8 b+ l: `Bodhisattva Way of Life. On such occasions he usually held a text holder (the Tibetan traditional5 H+ _3 P8 [% y' h7 l
! }4 s! Q0 @4 D3 B! B
text holders are made of silk brocade reinforced with bamboo, about 2-chi long) of almost the& G' r% H8 Z: m% Q5 c" f) d' j

/ C1 M8 b5 w- q: {+ K3 Isame length as his height, a sight that made people, even those with years of Dharma practice,; \6 q7 o1 T; k: U/ i' `- `( o/ k

+ i  I  R: J1 }marvel and lavish him with praise.

华智仁波切对此感慨说:“多竹仁波切(直品单比尼玛的别名)8岁为人宣讲佛法,看来宁玛4 }, u3 z( e  [( |9 @

5 v5 k  U5 Q$ }6 y" e7 S/ b0 |巴的教法正值辉煌时期,前途无量啊!

* T/ t( p, D; ~6 N) {3 ]To this, Patrul Rinpoche was pleased to comment: “Now that Dodrup Rinpoche (another name of

# z: N. I; S& d4 Z, j4 OJikme Tenpe Nyima) teaches the Dharma at the age of 8, it shows that the Nyingma tradition is

rising high and the future is great!”

直品单比尼玛为后人留下了大量诗歌,以及大圆满、大幻化网等方面有如如意宝般的典籍0 J4 ?* h$ M$ M$ F

; m- s, K! B/ ~2 M宝库。今天我从中采撷一束,与大家共勉:“平时喜欢观察的寻伺者,想了达自然本智有
; |2 w2 `9 s5 c& D( w  @2 f% s) y  ~$ C- I: v7 Q6 d# z
一定障碍。因此应当常时恭敬祈祷上师,精进修持,才能证悟心的本面。自己通达之后,7 M) T, f& j$ w% V  P1 g6 j* K6 P
! i- E* v6 ?, R& {. X0 i
不离观心性的同时,翻阅《七宝藏》等经论,自己的觉相、妙观察智会越发增上,必将有8 S! J4 E$ m1 q5 {
! ?& {2 D- N3 Q
很大收获。

. S' H7 }1 s- Y4 n$ \/ y- c( d% ^5 B  O! H4 v% p; O
Jikme Tenpe Nyima left future generations many poems and jewel-like treatises on the Great+ x! o1 h; d- M  Q$ r$ v

  z- ~7 g/ o6 y& @9 m* w0 V' ]6 G. cPerfection and the Great Illusory Net. Here are some selections as food for thought: “The
* g6 p+ |- k. K, \# h  ?+ l. E; |, e7 ~9 {. o) W( f2 i6 W$ Y
profound truth of primordial wisdom is difficult to grasp by people who are inclined to analysis
0 w& Y! T/ O( _2 F  @% `: i) d& y2 J8 S8 P% p) X4 {" X: C% j$ f2 [
and logic. It is only through constant praying to the lama with devotion and faith, coupled with7 \- Z6 `0 T3 F+ x' P1 C2 f
, }1 o# F; P6 V+ J: \
diligent practice that we come to see the true face of the mind. As we get better, we can
; W1 X. q1 Y6 o7 B$ N7 l* |: o# `, I
maintain this recognition of the mind even as we are reading scriptures such as the Seven
+ O$ t1 y2 P; P9 \8 a
1 M7 F1 x/ Z- ]5 H4 C) GTreasures. Our insight and discriminating awareness will gradually increase, bringing us great
0 w( p  {! O1 e' h" Q) v
" g+ r8 t0 d9 ^+ M! s. ~& @benefit.”

- ~! v! v4 _1 Y2 b因此,如果能够一边观心性一边看书,或一边念咒一边看书都非常殊胜。江直仁波切说$ ?  Q6 z  Y! E
' z# ^  V7 `% C: v  s( K, J
:“边看书边念咒有很大功德。初学者不能同时施行,到一定境界后就可以了。”
% G  U8 }3 t' k, j5 a( k! _! Q9 m9 f

% x  @* g/ D5 D) N* JTherefore combining the task of reading text with the practice of seeing the mind’s nature or
6 N5 K$ V+ H* Q6 I; ]6 l8 X/ ~5 z. |+ x& U  X3 T
with the recitation of mantras is most wonderful. Gyangze Rinpoche says: “To recite a mantra  H/ s8 H7 k! e" @
7 M3 Z, {& T2 E7 s0 P9 Z
and to read scripture at the same time is very meritorious. This multitasking could be difficult for

- Y9 s" v- }( N0 V3 I7 `+ pa beginner, but the time will come when he reaches a certain level of practice.”) N/ S9 A+ _  c

Many khenpos at our academy are adept at this practice; this is how they manage to accumulate

astonishing numbers of mantra recitations over the years.5 T& E. s) e  a
- t0 C: k3 @; w+ [2 N5 N
然而有的人却自视高明,既不看书,也不念咒,将宝贵的岁月白白荒废,真是枉为修行人
% H! |# ]4 |; t& K' E% X
3 E- r8 i6 f* ^$ b: p了!

" _6 q' |) r- g1 v) K. o) Z& H0 G7 u% x4 ]* s. m3 b# Y+ H
Nonetheless, there are people with high opinions of themselves who neither bother to read
& E! }5 X5 U, `+ M' |7 `9 `$ l
4 w+ _* I* P% r: `5 e2 w4 v' Obooks nor recite mantras. They waste their precious lives meaninglessly and do not deserve the
1 ?7 S0 r$ f8 k8 H9 \6 v6 }
5 U5 Y  C' X# |# @2 u5 iname of practitioners!0 A0 X+ ~' v/ i& g) I
