their followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated5 p% k0 Q& [8 h; T/ ?

喜。但因力气有限,难以全部背负而出。只有选择一段认识心性的教言,忍不住想翻译过

/ I4 d0 H( U4 }% _7 _) OToday, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.! T5 ~& ?; w8 O% v4 n3 X

Innumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more0 W; h4 N" m \* j( ^7 C
; ~, C% D5 p/ LDharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the% q6 ?( E/ z5 a
1 F# g* H: S/ t# H& J0 ltreasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of: S( U/ ?' q+ E: x& ?$ Z$ ?
* M$ u5 d! N( Qthe mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the3 s' w d ]; K& V% X) }. V) r
* ?+ E, s$ g. j/ y \: e

“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之

+ k. ~- z' v9 R- R* f. x心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆8 f1 x: T4 b& D ~7 f$ }+ h t
0 A0 c6 [ h8 u4 G/ c) r( k7 Q为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与

显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细

- F. Q. K. R, W! M u6 E微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。

“Briefly, the heart treasure of direct pointing out is as follows: All phenomena appear because of& G7 k T$ u3 w! w4 f4 M/ C

the mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking
+ F3 R$ S; p; H6 k% w) u6 g6 o" H+ i3 \' |- T4 Q
for one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since
" T( b1 c1 Q7 i" f
: Q9 ~3 ?2 ^; t( I9 {beginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the
8 d2 ~2 j3 h# ]* e# G( r( G6 V% L8 E6 o) x: @: j% t
‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the
/ E# w7 w$ [3 i( x5 X' N+ ]$ t# @1 }) F% y3 F7 h, B5 X2 A( ~
view of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness
0 ^: {1 z5 |& \* A7 A3 u4 Y/ i- h: B% d/ l4 z4 b$ e
and the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of. l/ L2 [1 R0 c. i! @" ^6 N

Great Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle
4 K0 x6 Y+ J- t- k
4 c+ V( n0 p: r5 O5 _, q. \& ~2 ?discursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and
9 A- H# F! X5 k$ H* I7 F) p# b3 a% ]9 S) b0 y1 \' y7 b9 o
mindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,0 b4 X5 {' R$ j6 P2 D6 p6 O( L
: ?2 o0 _9 b. _4 a
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta,
' P* ^; m# [/ `0 c) w( w
+ m+ j1 I b' L( f+ H- p, Vpracticing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning
6 z0 @* s5 r3 E/ v q! O5 J% B$ c% F5 o; |9 z+ d* \/ s3 C! _
evils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices% `3 ^5 O; G+ ?$ U
0 T; R2 _/ F8 s3 f' A7 vbesides these. May beings with fortunate karma also come to know this heart treasure!”

也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法
$ j7 Z0 d$ z3 |$ I8 c+ p) p! C9 g( w7 z) G5 o8 y, [
,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?7 Q* Y4 p$ d" b/ {, Z9 x
7 k; K. q( Z0 t' \( |* _
Of course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great
+ [- @/ ~7 e/ W0 x3 o9 G$ l2 b$ ]( f8 S8 z. |3 l' f, ?
Perfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly
1 K3 L# C/ ^9 c0 V0 t R( |9 R* d( i1 q! v V) R( h5 g0 B
virtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do I. P7 X* o9 @& A/ A
; e9 l0 v- `9 `/ u- ~
they really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?

前辈大德们交付予后学者的教言心宝,已经毫无保留地呈现在我们面前,只有逐字逐句地( ]+ f) J9 P; B) f! A, [4 z
3 ?* s! c( b- P' B% n! n思维,并融入自己的相续,认识心的本性,并长期修持,才能无愧于上师三宝的大恩加被4 l1 O7 _" f; ^ B) a$ Z* d
