- f3 E2 O: n3 |% Z4 _- h2 ?5 X宁玛巴的很多成就者们留与后代的世间财产,虽然不能与所谓的富翁同日而语,但他们以$ m5 w7 x- q3 N6 L4 j

1 `+ V4 P3 J2 \, K8 m智悲精华凝聚而成的智慧宝库,却丰富多彩、琳琅满目,令世间富翁们望尘莫及。只要有
& ?* A: C( |- X5 E6 P
* N6 u' J5 E& M  E, }1 Y信心的钥匙,在此宝库中都能找到令自己欣喜若狂的珍宝。

Nyingmapa masters have not left much worldly inheritances to their successors when compared3 P3 h4 R* W% w
; L% Q4 D* J" Q) X$ D% e* l
with those wealthy tycoons. But the masters have far surpassed the worldly riches in leaving
- i8 [' F8 I- k$ I8 O& F+ P  \# i* w8 B- z0 _
their followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated) a0 q" g, s4 t! c

, D2 R% Z  u* n% A- g) a, [wisdom and compassion. Anyone equipped with the key of faith will discover in the vault gems7 X1 G( R& o1 v( y. [
$ n  K% G2 n2 @* q8 f) o4 A
that bring boundless joy.
( n6 z, `; n  U- Z. _2 i; N, r  o* h7 t8 y' n( i% j7 N4 v
今天,我到喇拉曲智仁波切的宝库里逛了逛。里面的宝物不可胜数,让贪婪的我一阵阵狂8 [6 {1 {7 j; \: X. D+ T

& u( K5 C8 w: K; G- P5 z喜。但因力气有限,难以全部背负而出。只有选择一段认识心性的教言,忍不住想翻译过
2 a" e4 t% c* M1 g7 L7 a/ b2 K8 u, q4 U% Q
来,分享与人。希望没灌大圆满顶的道友不要偷看,否则护法会惩罚的。

; I2 A/ L1 B7 `2 i6 W+ O% G' Q1 w# p+ r( U( b# e. C2 O
Today, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.
0 G; g# R6 U' ?3 E! M5 O  v2 a) g$ h/ d: G. a/ }5 F
Innumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more
, Q4 u0 q; V% ^- l" m" A9 A8 E7 a- |& `0 E2 P' V/ K6 M8 u8 m
Dharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the& n0 C( W- a) s+ u, L6 K, \# s

' k) b5 E! V1 U1 atreasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of' F% A/ T. Q% _: K. W& @& V

0 Q+ k9 s& o* E& @/ z) l- N) Zthe mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the
  B4 ^: c) {$ P3 J( K. O" j. P# V( L1 N
transmission on Great Perfection should refrain from reading it. Otherwise, a reprimand from the% g- u2 r8 Z5 p3 x% J: L
. ]  r  e( q8 ]+ [6 A
Dharma Protectors is sure to come.- v0 m8 Q0 X6 ~1 m

3 N& \. o2 [$ _/ _  {7 A- a“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之2 u9 ^) I- F6 l/ s( M
& X( L$ R. u4 H3 Y, T0 _
心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆6 O: e1 C& A! E( ?  q
8 y. ~( x3 [0 Z, K2 I# }0 _8 x
为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与) o' w0 T5 O9 b

1 V$ I6 P9 U7 p) B! O5 ]显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细) k" S, e1 T9 l8 D/ n

) N* U) k5 [0 x) S. N微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。& O8 x9 X% U; ~6 ~2 g
0 i4 y; w; ]( R6 l$ G9 R5 R
此外,以修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法为助缘。我宁玛老人索朗钦则(喇$ l5 W' H) r: A3 ~+ y

# T0 V0 v$ X' g5 Z拉曲智仁波切的名字)平时所修持的唯有这些。愿其成为有缘者之心宝。”

“Briefly, the heart treasure of direct pointing out is as follows: All phenomena appear because of
, {2 L. W9 @+ \# d2 |- W! }. x6 `1 Z2 t. Q! U
the mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking9 N6 a$ o; B, O

) W6 l( ?( Y# U- J5 Yfor one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since! d* g5 I8 N; t2 A; g

) M$ ~1 U+ |0 b/ bbeginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the
7 ?7 V" k5 h, W+ E) R7 Y' Y
1 O: N! ?- N6 u6 ]$ {‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the
$ B! J1 A6 |  ?/ @3 B7 w7 Y
* |8 ?# y  T& T5 [' x/ eview of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness# s/ l' @+ V/ z9 D- _) J

" D2 N+ z. S3 @) R, j- N$ I7 Band the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of
- h7 [  N  b% }+ l$ w' v# B; m4 g! M) X5 P
Great Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle9 T9 N  c  v' j$ e  f$ C  R! {

5 t1 N9 {1 Q* ~) Y" {7 A1 ndiscursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and. s- y! M0 U7 X. C- S0 F9 N

4 z3 _7 q& w6 R/ Y9 ~mindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,$ O+ d1 W8 K5 r$ q) B9 s6 |
7 k# L$ [/ F1 [/ `
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta,9 n3 Y( z) E- E3 P$ R
9 B+ l- h4 A2 k- {, ^
practicing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning
3 L  N" i2 r; N6 d$ t% Y" m
& w% z3 R& e0 y% j1 Xevils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices, b4 R# M# c3 K6 W4 Z( |8 I
/ [1 ?7 K2 P& c7 V+ R  v
besides these. May beings with fortunate karma also come to know this heart treasure!”2 q# |, T4 N7 \/ m% i  o1 U

6 j- t$ u/ H% v* g% H% S% c0 U如今,我们得到了如此珍贵的心宝,实在应当珍惜。

! y) z! ~/ c5 X" I' T& a: l/ g- q- z% N% |3 d
At this moment, we’ve received such a precious heart treasure, shouldn’t we cherish it dearly?
) F: C, g4 e, x0 I+ R: T# r: P% e  F6 O7 V
也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法2 B* e# _; u4 Q

* V- B2 X& N& H3 m: ^$ d,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?

& L; H, n& W4 u+ _
* \2 n9 F5 O% XOf course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great% W! T4 y' ^1 p8 Q. p' {0 j( x
7 N% _6 Q- P! ^6 O1 l9 g
Perfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly& |0 T6 ]3 F: f! c  B, j/ l+ I
" I% I! G6 p6 c8 Z
virtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do6 t- s0 m5 J( r( n9 d: V. s9 U
. X# @0 M  z( J# e3 `0 F
they really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?
$ P# d3 @( W' p. i$ ?" s; M
" c# z( g  ?+ c* R2 n; b前辈大德们交付予后学者的教言心宝,已经毫无保留地呈现在我们面前,只有逐字逐句地
. I- ^- I) N% N2 T
0 ^! @9 S5 x" a# C9 h2 r$ ]: \' U思维,并融入自己的相续,认识心的本性,并长期修持,才能无愧于上师三宝的大恩加被- k* L2 t+ \; v% h" c" e* A/ w' {1 d

# i7 y; x+ e7 D: N0 @The heart treasures left by our past masters have now been fully revealed to us without any

reservation. We should reflect upon them deeply, word by word, to permeate our mind with) J! a% M4 _+ \% ?

$ @" h2 ^/ G& C' b6 Lthem, recognize the nature of the mind, and continue the practice for a long period of time. Only2 k& A# i  X! @  ^3 X8 {

( `. P* s* K, G4 P; ~+ {( Nby so doing can we prove ourselves worthy of the kind blessings from our masters and the Three
( c$ F2 J, o3 z; D- D# ?& {# Z* ]4 V
Jewels.
